Duodencolic fistula due to peptic ulcer

Abstract

|
Duodenocoli fistula is a lesion of great rarity. Most of the recorded cases have been due to extension
of carcinoma of the transverse colon, but benign duodenocolic fistula is indeed rare.
A case, thirty year old male, of duodenocolic fistula is reported and the fistula was resulted from
perforation of an ulcer of the 1st portion of duodenum into the transverse colon. recovery was comp
lete after operation.
Brief discussion concerning etiology, clinical manifestation, treatment of the duodenocolic fistula are
made with review of literature.
